KLDSCP : Sky Cadeaux

“It’s supposed to be happy time until the end...”

    Actually, Sky wasn't an expressionless girl before. She was very expressive and cheerful, and was born in a warm, little family. However, she was an only child, so she tends to get lonely and go take a walk circling her home residence.

     One day, little Sky was eating her sandwich while taking a walk in the residence. Then, she met a boy that seems kinda older than her. The boy was trying to take her sandwich, but stumbled and fell instead.

      “C—can I—have your sandwiches—“

     Was his last line before he fainted.

     Dumbfounded plus panicked, the little Sky brought the boy to her home.

     Turns out, that boy was Chess. Sky's family treat Chess some food and drink while Chess telling his story about how he got here. At the end of the day, they accepted Chess as their adopted child. Sky, was very happy. Now, she finally have a friend for her daily life.

     Time flew by, and Sky was already 16 years old, Chess has already had a part time job as a hairstylist. Things were going smoothly until the apocalypse came. Rumors about the color-syndrome started spreading. But the little family only knew little about it, and they seem not really shocked of the news.

     It was Chess, who accidentally brought the disaster to their home. One day, Chess and his co-workers were eating dinner as they done their shift. One of them, was already full but still have lots of leftovers. At the end, he gave it to Chess, but since Chess himself already full with his own dinner, he decided just brought it home. When Chess were back, he saw Sky, who is cleaning plates and all, seems like just done with dinner. Sky noticed him, and when she saw what he brought, she just wrap it in plastic wrap, and said to eat it for breakfast next morning instead.

     That day was the usual normal day. After early breakfast together, Chess went to the barbershop earlier that time, as one of his co-worker took a day off because fever. Sky was at home, getting ready for school. Suddenly, her mom starts coughing harshly, and as Sky looked at her, she started to cough and sneeze. His dad, who was about to told them to take a day off, started to sneeze and cough.   

     "Did we all catch a cold?" Said the mother, laughing it off. Before it went into a really painful headache and fever. Just then, they remembered the rumors about Color-Syndrome. As they feel really bad they went to their bed to take a rest. Hoping that the fever would just go away.  

     However, the fever isn't even going away, and become worse than ever. Their head is so hurt they thought it would torn apart. Soon, all of them started to coughing blood, and neon pink color was came out instead of black. Sky, however, not noticed this, as she was actually color blind. 

     3 hours gone. Sky felt she could collapse anytime as she walk to his parents bedroom. There, she saw her parents, lying. She could saw a pool of blood near them. Unable to even have time to react, she collapsed. Not long after that, Chess came back to the house, and Sky could hear he's panting heavily, but she doesn't even have energy to turn around and look at him. With already blurry vision, Sky tried to speak while locked her vision to her parents. With trembling voice, she asked...

    “Mom—and Dad- Did they—“

    Sky stuttered, she could felt her vision become more and more blurry as tears flowing over her, not wanting to accept the fate that she had to say next..  

    “.... Die?“

      The shock was a big one to Sky, as she lost her ability to really show expression.  Later after that nightmare, they decided to just keep living in that house. While quietly, Sky afraid of losing Chess, her brother, like she lose her lovely parents.

     Afterwards, they continued to search for what’s behind rumors about the evil Gray Order and Kaleidoscope, while still hiding from the Silverlight and Gray Orders. 

      One year later, The just-got-home Sky realized the house were empty, and there’s no sign of Chess. A fear across her mind, as she worried Chess might ‘leave’ her like her parents did. As she go looking for Chess, she found a letter on her bedroom. It was a letter from Chess. Chess explain he was joining Toxic Citrus, and suggest Sky to go to Elusive Indigo. Sky at least relieved, Chess not 'gone'... But it’s still felt sad... At the end of the day, she shrugged it off.

“From now on... I should lean on... To who?”

「 AFTERWARDS 」

“Even if you say so... I don’t know I could do it.”

Even if Chess told her to join Kaleidoscope, where even she found the ‘Kaleidoscope’ itself? Even after keep searching over a year, doesn’t them got no clue? She had nowhere to go.

On some certain day, Sky decided to strolling around small alleys that could be found in the city. Then, she heard loud enough sound on one of the alleys. Curiosity got her, and she decided sneak to saw what’s up there.

“Will I be able found a turning point?”

What she heard turns out was Azura, and some Gray Order soldiers. She saw her knocking down the soldiers, one by one. Amazed how Azura knock them down by herself, Sky stared her and spaced out for some time. How would Azura not even noticed that? Of course she noticed it. Sky, who was finally done with her spacing out panicked, and dunno what to say. But hey... Isn’t there’s rumors about the people that fighting the Gray Order? The name…

“Um… Please let me join you!”

Of course it's gonna be weird of total stranger ask such thing... But, she just have to. She finally had a target. She wanted to becoming stronger. She wanted to stand by herself, not depending to anybody all the time. Life is not easy, it’s tough and not such a fairy tale would happen. That’s why…

“I will stand on my own from now, I will becoming stronger.”
